LIC AAO Notification in this month 650 Vacancies, Complete Exam Pattern

Educational Qualification: 
Bachelor/Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.
LIC AAO Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure: Selection will be made on the basis of performance in the on-line test followed by a personal interview of short listed candidates and subsequent Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination.
1. Online Test: On-line test will be of objective type, multiple choice of two hours duration comprising of the following:
a. Reasoning Ability
b. Quantitative Aptitude
c. General Knowledge, Current Affairs
d. Computer Knowledge
e. English Language with Special emphasis on Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
i. There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth (1/4 ) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.
ii. Candidate must pass in each paper separately and also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate of the two papers to qualify for the interview. The minimum marks to be obtained in each paper and in the aggregate shall be decided by LIC of India.
iii. The marks obtained by the candidate in each paper and in the aggregate shall be arrived at after deduction of the marks for wrong answers.
iv. Appearing in the online examination or mere pass in the online examination shall not vest any right in a candidate to be called for Personal Interview.

2. Interview:
i. Candidates who successful in the Online test will be called for an Interview. Candidate who does not obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the Interview shall be disqualified for further selection.
ii. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times the number of vacancies to be filled in subject to availability of successful candidates in the online examination and will be purely as per their ranking in their respective category.
3. Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment.

Name of the Scheme :
  • This Scheme may be called the Taxation and Investment Regime for Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, 2016.
Date of Commencement of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2016 :
  • It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification, in the Official Gazette, appoint.
Tax Payable under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2016 :
  • The declarant under this regime shall be required to pay tax @ 30% of the undisclosed income. [section 194D(1)] .Amount of Tax paid shall not be refundable. [Section 199K]
Penalty Payable under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2016 :
  • The declarant under this regime shall be required to pay penalty @10% of the undisclosed income.[section 194E] . Amount of penalty paid shall not be refundable. [Section 199K]
Surcharge Payable under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2016 :
  • The declarant under this regime shall be required to pay a surcharge to be called ‘ Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Cess ’ @33% of tax.. [section 194D(2)] .Amount of Surcharge paid shall not be refundable. [Section 199K]
Lock in Period of Deposit under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2016 :
  • The declarant shall have to deposit 25% of undisclosed income in a Deposit Scheme to be notified by the RBI under the ‘ Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme, 2016 ’.
  • This amount shall be deposited before the filing of declaration.The deposit shall bear no interest and the amount deposited shall be allowed to be withdrawn after four years from the date of deposit and shall also fulfil such other conditions as may be specified in the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme, 2016.[section 194F]This amount is proposed to be utilised for the schemes of irrigation, housing, toilets, infrastructure, primary education, primary health, livelihood, etc., so that there is justice and equality.
Time for making declaration under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2016 :
  • Any person may make declaration on or after the date of commencement of this Scheme but on or before a date to be notified by the Central Government in the Official Gazette.
Window scheme for declarants of undisclosed income
First is a 50% tax rate on those who declare undisclosed income. This 50% comprises of:
(a) 30 percent tax
(b) 33% cess called ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Cess’ (33% of 30%; this means a total of 10%).
(c) 10 percent penalty
Total tax rate is (30 + 10+ 10) = 50%.
Besides, the declarants must put the 25% of their disclosed amount in a social security scheme. This will be locked for four years. For channelizing this 25%, a deposit scheme is to be notified by the RBI under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Deposit Scheme, 2016’.
The deposit amount is proposed to be utilised for the schemes of irrigation, housing, toilets, infrastructure, primary education, primary health, livelihood, etc. For this, the existing Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana will be modified as an antipoverty and development programme.
(B) Higher tax rate for under-reporting/misreporting of income
A steep tax rate of 60% (comprising basic 30% rate, cess and surcharge) plus 15% from surcharge (25% surcharge means 25% of 60). The tax rate thus becomes 75%. The assessing officer can impose 10% penalty and the total tax rate becomes 85%.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana was launched in April 2015, aims to improve the living standard of the poor people especially those who are BPL through concrete government initiatives. The Programme’s working was to engage poor people through workshops where poor can attend.
The old format may not be followed under the PMGKY Cess. More actions and programmes can be expected as the scheme gets sufficient funding through the cess.

lucky Grahak Yojana, Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana -Digital Payment (RBI ASSISTANT) 2017

  • These schemes aim to give cash awards to consumers and merchants who utilize digital payment instruments for personal consumption expenditures.
  • They will specially focuses on bringing the poor, lower middle class and small businesses into the digital payment fold. National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) will be the implementing agency for these schemes.
  • Transactions using USSD, UPI, RuPay and AEPS will only be covered under these schemes. Digital payments made through credit cards and e-wallets won’t be covered.
  • To ensure focus on small transactions incentives will be restricted to transactions within the range of Rs 50 and Rs 3000.
  • The winners shall be identified through a random draw of eligible Transaction IDs by software to be especially developed by NPCI for this purpose.

Lucky Grahak Yojana

  • Under it, consumers making payment through digital mode will get chance to win minimum Rs 1000 each every day or Rs 1 lakh per week.
  • 15,000 winners will get cashback prizes of Rs 1000 each every day starting on 25 December 2016 (Christmas) and ending on 14 April 2017 (Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti). In addition, there will be weekly awards worth Rs 1 lakh, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 for 7000 people.
  • On last day of scheme mega prize winner award will be announced. He will get Rs. 1 crore award.

Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana

  • This scheme is for the merchants across the country. Mandatory for merchants to have POS (Point of Sale) machines for undertaking cashless transactions.
  • Under it, merchants doing business using POS are eligible to win Rs.50000 per week from 25 December 2016 to 14 April 2017.
  • 3 Mega Prizes for merchants will be of Rs 50 lakhs, 25 lakh, 12 lakh for digital transactions between 8 November 2016 to 13 April 2017.
  • It will be announced on 14 April 2017.
