• Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, AkhileshYadav launched a state-wide integrated emergency service UP-100 in Lucknow on November 19, 2016. The UP-100 is the official name for Uttar Pradesh Police Emergency Management System which was previously called dial 100 project.

• The 10-day-festival ‘Sangai Festival 2016’ inaugurated by Manipur CM OkramIbobi Singh on November 21. It will continue till November 30 2016 with the theme of Destination Manipur’.

• Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister AkhileshYadav on November 21, 2016, inaugurated the six-lane Greenfield Agra-Lucknow Expressway at Bangarmau in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh in presence of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. The Lucknow-Agra Expressway is India’s longest expressway, with a length of 302-km and its construction has been completed in 23 months.

• The Palampur Assembly Constituency in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has adopted E-Vidhan system and became the first e-assembly constituency of the country which, making the House Business paperless.

• Garotribals People of Meghalaya celebrated the harvest festival of Wangala to marks the end of a period of toil for farmers wanting a good output from their fields. This festival is also known as Annual 100-drum Festival.

• The second edition of Windmill Festival– ‘India’s First International Children’s Festival’ is scheduled to be held on January 14th and 15th, 2017 at Reliance Jio Garden, BKC in Mumbai. The festival is a joint initiative of Event Capital and Tribe Asia
