w its time for exam analysis of (RBI Assistant Prelims) :24th December 2016, 01st slot. A lot of students have appeared for their prelims exam today and this brings them a step closer in their journey. Without wasting any moment, let's get straight to the analysis which you all are interested.

RBI exam was almost as same as IBPS clerk prelim exams. 

English was easy to moderate. The topic of RC was story based on three brothers. Cloze test was also story based on importance of trees. There were 5 questions from parajumble which were easy to moderate. Five questions were asked from error detection topic, which were of moderate level. And the last five questions were asked in the form of fillers which were also of moderate level. Overall the level of english session was easy to moderate. One can easily attempt upto 16-19 questions in this session.

The level of quantitative aptitude was moderate. There were one easy tabular DI. There were 15 questions from simplification, some were moderate and a little bit calculative. 5 questions from series were easy. 10 questions from miscellaneous were of moderate level.
One can easily attempt upto 17-20 questions in this session.

The level of reasoning was easy to moderate. There were 1 puzzle and 2 seating arrangement. Puzzle was based on weekdays & subjects. And one seating arrangement was linear in which 8 people were facing north and second seating arrangement was circular in which all were facing inside. Inequalities were too easy. Syllogism level was easy to moderate. There were 5 questions from Alphanumeric series, level of these question were moderate And from miscellaneous, there were 2 questions from ranking & Direction sense. and 3 from blood relation.One can easily attempt upto 19-24 questions in this session.

RBI Assistant Job Profile

RBI Assistant is undoubtedly one of the most revered and respected jobs for the aspirants trying to fit in the banking sector. It is not everyday that one gets to work at the Reserve Bank of India.

One gets to learn a lot in the organisation and simultaneously gets paid quite decently along with other perks and allowances. Also, the working hours are less compared to other banks.

Comparison with other Bank Jobs

RBI Assistant Job despite the fact that it is a clerical cadre job preferred by the majority of aspirants as compared to a Bank PO. Let us look at the following points to understand the situation better:

• Transfers: Transfer in RBI takes place after five years of service while in other banks the transfer takes place every three years.
• Rural postings: RBI doesn’t have branches in rural areas so the employees are mostly posted in urban localities while other banks post their employees in rural areas quite often.
• Work pressure: Other nationalized banks have tremendous work pressure regarding business generation, meeting the targets for the bank while in Reserve Bank of India there is no such pressure so the job is less stressful.
• BRAND: Do we need to discuss brand. Reserve bank of India is the father of all other banks. There is a great pride working for Reserve bank of India.
• Working Days and Timings: Work timings in Reserve Bank of India are 9.15AM to 5.15 PM and RBI works 5 days a week. The situation is different in other nationalized banks as they have loads of work and targets to complete.

RBI Assistant Salary

• Basic pay: Rs. 15,060/- per month
• Pay scale: Rs. 13150-750 (3)-15400- 900(4) -19000-1200(6)-26200-1300 (2)-28800- 1480(3) – 33240 – 1750 (1)- 34990 (20 years).
• Allowances: It includes Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time.
• Gross emoluments: Approximately Rs. 32,429/- per month.
• Accommodation: Subject to availability.
• Reimbursements: For expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, briefcase, book Grant, allowance for the furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility.
• Dispensary facilities: Apart from reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization as per eligibility) RBI assistants also gets certain dispensary facilities.
• Loans and Advances: Granted at concessional rates of interest for Housing, Car, Education, Consumer Articles, and Personal Computer.
• Governance: By the Defined Contribution New Pension Scheme, in addition to the benefits of Gratuity.
• Total Annual Pay: Including allowances along with admissible perquisites attached to the post of RBI Assistant (excluding the value of housing) works out at the minimum to Rs. 3, 80,000/- p.a. (approximately).
